I am so pleased that so many agreed that my brainstorm of hosting a bite sized large class session was a good idea! I have filled two sessions for January!
I received many suggestions for an evening session so I’m pleased to say that I will try an evening session for those who work outside the studio in February!
Do you techniques or functions you’d like to see spotlighted in an upcoming T3? Email me, email@example.com!
I decided in December to launch my bite sized class idea in January. I named it T3 – Technique Tuesdays.
The concept is to teach Art & Stitch in bite sized pieces, 3 techniques on the 3rd Tuesday at 3pm CST of the month. That is why it was nicknamed T3!
I posted T3 on the Art & Stitch YahooGroup and within 12 hours the session was full! I have decided to open a second session the following Tuesday.
The second session will be open for registration by the end of the day on my website (www.simplythebestquilting.com).
If you have any requests for techniques to focused on, let me know!
I am trying to find new efficient ways to arrange my studio! So far, I have my drawing done…
The weather cooperated today and the FAQ group was able to get sun printing done today… Lovely pieces were the result!
I had a play date with the Brother Scan n Cut today! I discovered many things about it.
1) Scanning away from the window works WAY better!!
2). Cutting fabric works well with a speed of 4, depth of 4…backed fabric or plain fabric!
3). Cutting on the straight or cross grain works best.
I printed a group of stamped images, cut directly and then added a 3mm border and cut mats for these sayings! Worked perfectly for my needs!
After my 20+ mile bike ride yesterday and the heat that has decided to show up, I believe today is a perfect day to continue working on my Art & Stitch embroidery certification, don’t you?!
I was able to get to a few customer quilts last week! The batiks were perfect for these quilts!
